I saw Mother Mother live for the first time during summer of this year. At the time i hadnt really cared about them. This album is really vibey and it has such a nice aesthetic to it. It is very cozy to listen to. In the song "Terrapin" I really enjoyed the filtered "oohs, and hmms" those for whatever reasons just made my ears very happy. Unfortunately there isnt much more for me to say about it. That first track is just all too beautiful. As I was first listening I was like man this buildup is kinda long but the wait was well well worth it. I loved that first track definetly deserved to be title track. The second track "Daggers o Light" is almost just as beautiful and the distortion on the guitar in the bridge was screaming my name. The first song was pretty weak for me but after once it picks up the pace i enjoy what im hearing. To me it sounds just a little too poppy at times wich is the biggest reason why it isnt higher. I love how "Where Blue Light Blooms" starts with that bossa nova-y guitar then goes into distorted chords for the chorus i thought that was very nice. I really enjoyed that track.
