Welcome back to the review of the 43rd debut album by a Blackpink member. So right off the bat I should start with the fact that I appreciate the variety between writing styles and approaches that are found within this album. They aren't anything particularly inventive or original, but there's more than just one, so that immediately makes the listening experience better than your average pop album where every single song sounds exactly the same. When it comes to rough categorising, it all boils down to the energetic in-your-face vocal type of pop and R&B songs and the more articulated and clean electronic tracks, with the latter, of course, being my preferred format, but there's generally not a lot of drastic differences in my taste here. Even with all the unusual quips and and likeable writing techniques I must say that this, once again, is simply just an existing album to me.
