Apparently Sheryl Crow didn't originally plan to create a new album and this one ended up coming as a surprise to a lot of people. One thing's for sure, this definitely ain't the best place where to start exploring her music, because chances are, she's not releasing anything else and also more importantly - this album is a bit weak, to my mind. The songs are pretty predictable, but I would have excused it if it wasn't for the overly quiet and slow second half of the experience. It has practically none of the playfulness and the excitement of her better musical works from 90s and i'd probably recommend this one just to the more enthusiastic fans of her.
