it’s a fine album. definitely a handful of skips for sure, such as Are You Listening Yet?, Taste Back, and Pop. but there are some really great songs here too! Aperture is still the best song by far, and i can’t stop playing Ready, Steady, Go!
i’ve been enjoying the new bad omens tracks but this one has something that’s just pulled me in. already probably my top played out of the new stuff, even tho i really like Specter and Impose for their own reasons.

when i listen to music, i look for moments. moments that pique my interest in the songs they’re attached to. there were musical moments listening to this that caught my attention, but moments need to be in good songs to be worth while. this just didn’t have those in my opinion. also lyrically it’s boring.

coming back to this song after “THE WHEEL’ was announced, i can confidently say this is the best single they’ve put out for the album. period.
being my first taste of their discography, I See Stars hit a fucking home run with “are we 3ven?” and it’s so cool to finally see it in a fresh, album-ready coat of paint. took them long enough.
so yeah, perfect song. super stoked about the album. will be reviewing it in september.
