The funny thing is the best track off this album is a bonus track called "A Funny Thing..."
By far the best album to come out this year.
Favorite Tracks - Dusty, Mountain, Earthstar, Una Splaggia, Summer Sweat and Shoe.
Stopped listening once I got to the line that infers that the end of the world would mean "Great news for holocaust jews and the people of japan".
As a grandson of late holocaust survivors, I find it so offensive and so out of touch with reality.
This feels like a knife in the gut, the kind that hurts the most when it comes from people who inspired you in so many profound ways.
Thanks for the memories, Chameleons, but this is where we part ways.
A Massively underrated album.
Broken wings is such a beautiful track.
If it wasn't for "The Healing - Part III" which was redundant to the theme in my view, I would've given this album a perfect score.
Brilliant arrangements, progressions and structures makes this superb record such a joyride to listen to.
Favorite tracks: Healer, Flesh, Compassion, Time Heals and Tiny Demons.
The "Bright-Side" and the "Dark-Side" versions are quite mediocre in my view, but the "In-Side" mix really elevates this album to a whole other level as it enables a higher resolution, and a wider sound than its' predecessors, which renders the listeners a better understanding and a deeper connection to the songs as well as the psychological atmosphere they manifest.
Not even a brilliant track like "Being Baptised" which I consider as one of the Manics' greatest songs over the past 15 years, neither other lovely songs like "Hiding In Plain Sight", nor "Brushstrokes Of Reunion" save this album from its' blatant mediocrity.
Quite good, albeit a bit too repetitive at times.
"Endsong" is by far the best track of the year as far as I'm concerned, and one of the best tracks to come out in recent years.
The Definition of A Timeless Masterpiece.
Will never get tired of it.
A mixture of some mesmerizing classic tunes with a few atrocious ones.
Favorite Tracks: I Ain't Saying My Goodbyes, If You Want, Nothing But Green Lights and On The Road.
Would've given it a much, much higher score if it had ended at track 9.
The last 5 tracks aren't in par in quality with the rest of the album in my view.
Favorite Tracks: Universal Love, Parallel Universe, Talk Around Town, People Always Criticize Us and Follow Your Heart Pt. 2.
Sounds like one of the best Disturbed records I haven't heard in years.
Favorite Tracks: Panic Attack, Trial By Fire, Escape From Reality and Giants In The Sky.
This album is up there alongside the best Pumpkins' albums.
What makes this album perfect to me - the quality of the songs, the production, and how perfect Billy Corgan and Paz Lenchantins' vocals complement one another.
Favorite Tracks: Settle Down, Honestly, Heartsong, Endless Summer, and Jesus I / Mary, Star Of The Sea.
Although not all songs are my cup of tea, the production value on this album is massive.
Favorite tracks: Requiem, Nobody's Child, Let's Fall In Love and Death Of A Society Girl.
Phenomenal album from start to finish.
Should have been massive when it came out.
I liked how this album manages to blend different genres of RnB, New Wave, Soul and Post Rock and stays cohesive throughout its entirety while conveying different mental states and emotions to the listeners in profound ways.
Favorite tracks: Even Light, Greatest Dancer and Hyperrealism.
Very impressive production.
The first half is much better than the second.
Filled with so many classics, this has to be one of the best Britpop albums of the 90's.
Favorite Tracks - Writing To Reach You, The Last Laugh Of The Laughter, Turn, Why Does It Always Rain On Me and Luv.
Insane, weird, original and owns its own signature style.
This is the exact definition of an all time masterpiece.
