During production, this was intended to be T-Square's final album. During interviews it was said that the cover art depicting a stone wall at the end of a beach was to signify the band feeling like they've hit a wall creatively; that they've completed their musical journey as a group. In retrospect this is one of the most important albums of the 1980s. T-SQUARE as a band as well as Japanese jazz fusion in general could have this accolade attributed to them, but this album in particular is notable as a tangible point of influence. Namely on video game composers of the era, whose works would go on to shape the medium's soundscape into what it is today. From Super Mario Bros. to Sonic the Hedgehog to Street Fighter and beyond.
