following the themes of heartbreak and isolation in "for emma" the band branches out on brighter and varied tunes in "bon iver". while "for emma" had a an isolated feel going for it, "bon iver" feels more open and free. which is something i wanted to hear entering to this, because it feels like a proper way to bridge the two together after a pretty light conclusion on "for emma".
