- Album Thoughts:
I would love for this to have been a visual album. It would have been amazing with the second phase to Lady Wood. The interludes throughout the album offer a clarity and sense of revised breaks that signal the part where you should stop listening for a few minutes. Disco Tits is an extremely strong opener and Tove Lo sticks to her techno club drug fueled rave-like tunes. The funny part about this album is that it's so hit and miss with elements of sheer addictive tracks ... read more

St. Vincent's album's saving grace is that of the first half of the album opting for a more universally jammable sound before fitting into a dysfunctional experimental track towards the end that really only gives off broodiness, upset and somewhat lonely songwriting. While Pills may be a remix of the Pokemon "follow me" song, paired with Los Ageless, it is a beautiful hand in hand strong element to the album opting for ballsy and cooky sounds, this album is ... read more

P!nk's return to music after a 5 year break may have been a mistake for the time capsule she has locked herself in. Beautiful Trauma is a fitting title for the album as it ranges from Beautiful to downright Traumatic at times. There's a mixture of good and bad tracks here, but the strongest elements lay within the opening and closing of the album's backbone. Many of these tracks feel like sequels to the original "P!nk Punk Rock Princess" that we all grew up to love ... read more

Honestly, the album is a bit underwhelming. This doesn't necessarily mean that it is bad. In turn it actually means that there's just room for improvement. The album starts out a bit rocky but opens up and finds it feet in the latter. I couldn't recommend it for people to actually sit and listen to, but, as for background music for setting ambiance? Perfect!

Unfortunately for Cameron, the music feels dated from the outset. It's hard to fall in love with the album from the get go but some of the songs throughout the album are genuinely good. The album should perhaps be reduced to a small EP? The album falls flat on it's face with Marlon Brandon, completely failing to use a slur in an artistic commentary way, thus coming out to show a certain era of ignorance. Not to slate the album completely, some songs have an aura of good vibes ... read more
