Veruca Salt - American Thighs

To start things off, American Thighs is pretty average album at best, but it has its moments. I enjoyed some of the softer, more melodic tracks, which stood out against the heavier grunge-inspired sound. At times, the lead singer’s vocals reminded me of Kim Deal from The Breeders, which added a nice touch to the overall vibe. While the album has that raw, fuzzy '90s alt-rock charm, not every track kept me fully engaged. Some songs felt a bit repetitive or didn’t leave much of ... read more

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

So, Weezer’s Blue Album has this awesome pop-punk vibe with super catchy melodies and lyrics that actually make you think. The guitars are crunchy, and the choruses really take off, giving each song this energetic, feel good vibe. It’s got this fun, youthful energy, but at the same time, it feels real and personal. Like, the songs might sound light and catchy, but there’s definitely some depth and vulnerability behind them.

Some songs felt a bit subdued or less engaging in comparison, which left me somewhat disappointed.

That being said, I can still ... read more

The album’s emotional intensity is undeniable, with tracks like "Violet" and "Doll Parts" capturing a mix of rage, vulnerability, and defiance. While the passion is there, the songwriting feels repetitive at times, especially in the lyrics, which can make some songs blur ... read more

I thought there was a dog on this ep cover, hmmm any who. This is the most underrated shoegaze shit, it has this flaring fuzzy shoegaze feel into it. One of my personal favorites ''Child'' that opener wow, I was really gazing at my shoes.
