The Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet

My initial listen of Beggars Banquet didn't quite live up to my expectations. As a neutral listener, I was surprised to find that this 1968 album didn't grab me the way some of thier other works have. The country-tinged rock and bluesy undertones are unmistakable, but some thing about the overall flow and songwriting didn't resonate with me, especially the last two tracks.

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
91

''Heaven or Las Vegas'' is a sublime masterpiece that transcends time and genre. Cocteau Twins' 1990 magnum opus weaves a hypnotic tapestry of sound, with Elizabeth Fraser's heavenly vocals soaring above lush instrumentation.

My favorite tracks being:
Cherry-Coloured Funk
Heaven or Las Vegas
I Wear Your Ring
Wolf In the Breast
Frou-Frou Foxes In Midsummer Fires

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
83

I'll admit, Paranoid didn't resonate with me personally, but its influence on the hard rock and heavy metal genres is undeniable, and I see why many users rate this album highly.

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

The Stone Roses' self-titled debut album is a landmark record that catapulted the Manchester quartet to fame and influenced a generation of musicians in the britpop. My favorite tracks being ''I Wanna Be Adored'', ''She Bangs the Drums'', ''Waterfall'', ''(Song for My) Sugar Spun Sister'', ''I Am the Resurrection''.

Boris - Pink
89

Boris' Pink album is a sonic masterpiece that defies genre boundaries. This Japanese band seamlessly blends noise rock, drone, stoner, and psychedelia, creating a hypnotic experience.

Standout Tracks:
- ''Farewell' - A swirling vortex of distortion.
- ''Pink'' - Ethereal vocals and shimmering guitars.
- ''Woman on the Screen'' - With it's shoegaze like, and dreamy atmospheric soundscapes
- ''Just Abandoned ... read more
