You know what, this worked more than I didn't. It does take a minute to settle into this record and I did not have high hopes with not being head over heels for the lead singles here but I'd rather Raye be unapologetically herself and play into these grandiose musical numbers than be one dimensional like a good chunk of the mainstream field.

"Days Go By" has that old-school R&B feel and that's why I always love listening to what inspires James Blake. I'm a less a fan of the vocal editing he loves doing.

He's just good at this -- whether it be toxic romance or actually beautiful, sweet ballads.
