Hoe Phase. I'll just lay out a quick summary of what I think of the album as a whole. It is certainly catchy at times, I do quite like House Music because it's energetic and I love a bit of club music. Hoe Phase does certainly show this, as much as the lyrical content is a bit knackered. It does get a bit repetitive but it's passable.
Road Trips is much the same, and again it's annoying how I find this catchy. Singing Drake does make a return and is certainly a bit ... read more
Oh lord.
Rusty Intro, great way to introduce us into the album. The intro gives us a precursor of what to expect and what is to come.
WNBA is one of the redeemable tracks from this album, but even at that it's heavily mediocre. It's ridiculously generic flow, with lyrics which have little to no meaning to them. Especially coming off of the flows he was giving us on Iceman, this song just feels bleak. The energy just seems to have evaporated from this song too, absolutely no hunger in ... read more
Detour, the third instalment in Kim Petras' catalogue. I can't say I ever listen to her music, only know of her existence by name. Also expect nothing more than some ridiculous glaze our good friend Anthony Fantano, anyways...
The album opens with the title track Detour, immediately open with this ... read more
Who else could it be other than The 6 God, Champagne Papi, the newly heralded Iceman, the one and ONLY Drizzy Drake to drop 3 in a single night? I've given this album a week to settle down, deep and give my unfiltered, honest thoughts!
The album opens with Make Them Cry, an amalgamation of various ideas and motifs. He focuses on family, bigging himself up to be that man of the household, looking back on past experiences like the feud in 2024, friendships and dealing with fame. It's a ... read more
North West, daughter of the polarising, enigmatic Ye, formerly Kanye, West. Only 12 year's old mind you, astonishing for an album which does feel a bit janky but is still somewhat well put-together?
The EP opens with How Should I Feel, with a bit of an odd and somewhat aggravating sample. It introduces the caricature of a rage rap album, with harsh, industrial sounds and abusing the electric guitar. It's alright, I'm not going to inflate or deflate the score irrespective of her ... read more
