Pretty solid debut all around, definitely takes me back to that initial hyperpop surge in the early 2020s. TUMMY and 4K CARPET are the big standouts, short but suuuuper catchy. That hook on the latter in particular has stayed in my head for weeks. I will say those two do most of the heavy lifting as the others tend to drag a little, though CREDIT CARD had a lot of great momentum to it, PUPPY 4EVER I have a soft spot for as well. The only track I wouldn't really go back to is VENOMOUS, It ... read more

edit: nvm lil bro got yeeted, Kaiyon is cool
Damn I wish this was a little longer, but it’s a solid pop album while it lasts. I get the brat comparisons but I honestly wish that brat had more of the texture and fast paced beats that Salvation offers
Fuckkkkk they played this at a gig a year ago and I had no idea it was unreleased, think this is my favourite one of the bunch so far. Classic Machine Girl sound but even more batshit, love it
Solid from Machine Girl, sounding like a good blend of their past works, little bit of U-Void, little bit of Gemini. Super lush and fun, and a cool ass music video to boot
If the Silent Hill OST was happy and wholesome.
But for real the production on this album is batshit, even for Hakushi's standards, probably their most experimental album to date. It's an absolute rollercoaster of sound hitting you hard from the get go in the first three tracks. Gone is an early standout with some pretty good rapping from Kid Fresino, and honestly kinda makes me wish other tracks in this album had rap sections.
The chiller tracks like Repeal and Forbidden Thing are ... read more
I feel like I need to vibrate in the corner of a rave night at 4 in the morning to this song. This is doing all the correct things to my ears
A solid, fun and exilerating trance album, so happy stuff like this is coming out in 2024. And I'm not surprised this guy's worked on Beatmania tracks before. Shout out to the first three tracks in particular. Arrival is an amazing head-banging opener followed by the grimier but just as intense Vibronic Transition, which unexpectantly transitions to the more bouncy, bubblegum-inspired pyörä. A mood contrast I thought was really fun and convinced me to stick through the album.
