Bruno Mars - The Romantic
60

The Romantic is an album classic fans of Bruno Mars will love with his classic and iconic voice. The songs are catchy and you will find yourself singing along to the song. However there is no real substance to his lyrics and the songs themselves are a bit cliche. This feels like more of his first two albums from over 15 years ago. But if you’re a fan of that, there is a lot to love here

Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess

The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess is some of the best pop music of the 2020s. Some songs drag a little bit but not enough to kill the overall quality of each song

The Beatles - Abbey Road
100

Abbey Road will forever be a timeless and iconic album. From its list of amazing tracks and new ideas introduced to the album cover itself. This is the band at its peak in my opinion. Some of the best songs from each individual member are on here and the entire album is well polished. It is also a rewarding album to play from start to finish including the bonus track “Her Majesty” at the end. Easily one of their best albums, and one of the best albums of all time. This will still be ... read more

Such amazing dreamy sounding songs, nearly 0 skips on here and great record to have on repeat. Wish more songs sounded like the intro Ride but not a big critique at all

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
65

Ca$ino is a well written album with some underwhelming production and delivery at times. The features are alright with Kendrick surprisingly being the weakest link on this album. Every track is passable but that’s about it

Favorite track: Dramatic Girl
Least favorite: Birds & the Bees

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
90

Dawn FM is one of The Weeknd’s most well produced and performed album to date. Each track is catchy and transition well into each other making for an easy listen. The features on his are alright but not too special and the concept was a little hard to follow compared to other projects. But overall, it is a very impressive album and a must listen for new and old fans.

Favorite Track: Less Than Zero
Least Favorite: Here We Go… Again

Hozier - Wasteland, Baby!
75

Wasteland, Baby! is another well written and performed album from Hozier, however, the quality is not as up to par with his other projects on some of the tracks. I don’t believe there are any bad songs on here but there is a noticeable change in the writing compared to his debut album. While this album does have some of his best works, it is not as consistent in the overall track list as his other projects. Still a very impressive album with good writing and vocal performances.

Hozier - Hozier
85

Hozier’s debut album proves himself to be one of the best song writers and vocal performers of the past couple decades. Every track is impressive with its lyrics and vocals, making it hard to not fall in love with a single track on this album. Some tracks do shine much brighter than others in my opinion but not so much so that I consider any track bad. To this day this is still one of the most impressive debut albums from any artist.

Mac DeMarco - This Old Dog

This Old Dog is one of Mac DeMarco’s most mature and well written albums. The production and performances are still as good on this album as previous ones and has some of its best written and performed materials to date.

Favorite Track: One More Love Song, Moonlight on the River
Least Favorite: Sister

Mac DeMarco - Salad Days
90

Salad Days feels like a continuation of his previous album “2” but even more improved upon. The track list feels higher in quality and more consistent, making for another easy to listen to album with tracks also good enough to want to come back to specifically. Still one of his most impressive albums to date.

Favorite Track: Passing Out Pieces

Mac DeMarco - 2

2 is a well-produced and performed album from Mac DeMarco. It is an easy listen, and the track list is very consistent in quality.

Favorite Track: Freaking Out the Neighborhood

Joji - Piss In The Wind
60

Piss In The Wind is album that feels like it has more extended interludes than actual tracks. Multiple tracks feel very underdeveloped and are either very short or longer than some tracks that have more substance. However, no track is unlistenable and there are a few that stick out in a good way, but many of them are very underwhelming.

Favorite Track: Past Won’t Leave My Bed
Least Favorite: Love Me Better

J. Cole - The Fall-Off
75

The Fall-Off is a very consistent album by J. Cole. While I believe there are not many misses on this album, there are only a couple of tracks that really amazed me. The lyrics and flow are great, and the production is good most of the time and a little underwhelming for others. Overall a solid album and very consistent for the nearly 2 hour runtime

Favorite Track: Intro 39
Least Favorite: Only You

red sun - At Their Very Best

At Their Very Best is a very fun and energetic record by red sun with great instrumentals and fun lyrics. One of the easiest and most fun mid-west emo albums I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.

Favorite Track: Slayce, Ruff Ryderz
Least Favorite: Eat What U Earn

Tame Impala - The Slow Rush
80

The Slow Rush is another well-made project by Tame Impala with great productions and dreamy vocals. While it is good it is not much of a different sound from Currents and I believe most songs off this album do fall a bit short compared to some off it. This isn’t the case for all of them and does not devalue the overall quality of this project

Favorite Track: Posthumus Forgiveness, One More Hour
Least Favorite: On Track
