The best thing about this album was hands down production. I really feel like there was a sound path that they really honed in on and it worked for sure. Lyrically this album lacks exponentially. You can have a record in which every song is about sex, and it doesn’t need to be about sex in the same way every single song. It was always break the bed this, I might love you that like switch it up. Then it was switch up but on the last song. Good vocals but to be expected on and RNB project. ... read more

This album is so fun to listen to over and over again. It’s such a detailed story, and it’s a masterclass in a specific type of songwriting, one I think has parallels to Audrey Hobert’s writing, I also think this is a very flowy project. Songs can sound very different and still work very well with one another, some really fun production. Some songs sound a bit similar, and lacking a bit in depth, but there isn’t a song on this record I particularly dislike.

With what I think it’s a perfect follow up to the dreamy and in love Short n’ Sweet, Sabrina does a great job at changing her sound enough to make it feel like a different project while keeping her unique writing abilities. Shes found a way to make 80’s disco cohesive with country twang, and it works quite seamlessly. This album feels extremely personal and it sounds like a project that just happened to come along and be finished, and out of it is a very special album. ... read more

As this is a primarily Spanish project I took my time to make sure I was getting to experience all of it. I could not be more glad I made that decision because it actually told me what someone of my favorite songs are because of their incredible storytelling. This still sounds so Rosalía even though MOTOMAMI is so different from this. A fully fantastic project!

Favorites: Sexo, Violencia y Llantas, Porcelana, La Perla

I remember hearing this project for the first time and being so infatuated with it, and it still holds up. The vibe of this album is so clear to me that I can’t even explain it, she hit the world building with this one over the head.

Favorites: Girl Feels Good, Drums of Death, Sticky
