as good as i do think this album still is, its extremely disappointing to not see it anywhere close to the 2 singles that released separate from this album. despite that, there are some incredible instrumental pieces, especially on in the blink of an eye
A power tale of trauma that surrounds you with sickening writing and an ebb and flow that makes the already long highlight songs of The Wallflower Equation and Sludge merge seamlessly with the rest of the album, creating something unlike anything else she's made, but feel at home all the same.
A pretty underwhelming release, it misses the extreme, loud, and brash vocals that accompany their previous songs and the instrumentals feel like a less distinct machine girl
Splendid Midwest emo vocals and addicting guitars help so many tracks stand out, this is an artist I am excited to see more from in the future EDIT: after listening to this more, i am consistently impressed by a debut project that has an impressive amount of personality and consistency in every single track, i keep changing my favorite track because theres something to love in every second of this album. theres no word more beautiful than beautiful to describe something like this.
Update: I think small death may be the most emotional and gorgeous song ever sung
Much like other comments, I found this from spotify recommended. I can't begin to describe how this sounds, but the vocals in this LP are brilliant and create a mesmerizing experience like nothing else, the only other album that has made me feel such a visceral reaction to it in this way was Forever Howlong from BCNR.
This album has some beautifully dynamic songs, and a stellar vocal performance to accompany it throughout this entire project. Listening to this album feels like more than just music, but an experience.
I do feel this short EP is held back by Tell Me Again feeling much weaker than the rest of the tracks, especially due to its loose vocals. Regardless, Little Lies and I'd Know both carry great weight in this EP as some fantastic tracks, and Bad Bad Man is a not quite as objectively good but I personally enjoy it a lot.
The standard delights experience, but with a bit more of a mature tone to the album when compared to the rest of their discography
