Listened to this album on casette, and I have to say being able to sit down with it and just listening, it’s such a good album. When it first released it felt like it was missing some of the twang that made me love their previous album. However, this is a great album and I’ll definitely keep listening to it
I just managed to do a full listen through of this album, with a bunch of my friends, just writing, and drawing through the entire thing, taking it in. I have to say this might be one of the most powerful artistic experiences I have ever had. I'll be reconsidering what I consider silence from now on.
I'll say I'm pleasantly surprised, I tried to remove any expectations before this listen, and I feel like that helped a lot. This sounds way different than any of their other stuff, even live at bush hall, I can clearly hear the changes, and I like them. I feel like it didn't work too well making the best tracks on the album singles, but I can see why they did it.
