I'm not typically a huge fan of IDK's projects but this one is something special. His storytelling and conceptuality has been honed and it works wonders. Great features and beats as well, hearing DMX over a KAYTRANADA beat is something I never knew I needed to hear. My only complaint is that some beats don't really stand out in comparison to others, and I wish that IDK and Pusha T had more chemistry on LiFE 4 A LiFE. Great stuff.

Few albums manage to hit me in my emotional core on first listen. I can't even really write a coherent sentence about it. Powerful, emotionally devastating, experimental, boundless, odd, beautiful. Unbelievable. Listen to this album or I will kill you

I've never met the man but I do know that we have one thing in common: we are both happy that the album is finally out and are happy with the product. His eclectic taste in production and collaborators are back in full force, resulting in some of his best tracks so far, STOP SNITCHING being my personal favourite. Even ... read more
Mac Miller's estate proves that it is indeed possible to handle posthumous albums with tact. I'm shocked that this wasn't released when it was intended to be because of how great this is. This is Mac at his best; introspective jazz raps with a psychedelic flair. Killer production throughout. As a more casual Mac Miller listener, hearing this album for the first time was a real treat. Lovely stuff.
To describe this album in a single word: AMBITIOUS. Rosalía continues to cement herself as one of the most essential artists of the 21st century with this record. Even on tracks that I felt could've been lengthened I was consistently blown away by how well the orchestral and opera influences went over. A real masterclass in production and engineering, too. And the vocals? I don't want to hear anyone else sing in my life again. My only real issues is that not every track shares ... read more
