I remember coming across the reversed version of this song with "lyrics" on yt when I was kid and thought it was some of the scariest shit ever
great album, really liked the sampling here and how dreamy the production felt a time. this being my first time listening to dream pop was honestly a nice introduction for me. favorites is HIGH and SENTIMENTAL GENTLEMEN
thank you @LinkyDinky for the recommendation!
fire production for both tracks. first song was really good and the beat switch on the first was nice aswell
also i thought the rapping wasn't that bad imo but yea it could be improved😭, thank you @B0AH for the rec!
listening to this on a early morning drive back home was a very interesting experience and probably the perfect moment to do so.
I think I had a great opportunity with this considering the sun was still rising and the state of the sky at the time heavily resonated with the cover. this album has been on my mind since it released. the few tracks that were out before this dropped set my expectations [vg-, tribeca, even colder spring (part 2)], and my goat didn't disappoint. the songs here ... read more
I honestly think the songs have a few decent moments, not terrible but not good either. I liked '21 Autumn for the most part, but evTan 1-4 is a mix. the cluster of instruments dont necessarily compliment each other and just sounds like a mess... that's until the last 50-ish seconds of the song, which might be my favorite bit of this preluxe. it makes sense why these were cut from the album, but I see a bit of potential tbh
thank you @MoneyBob for the recommendation!
another banger from conrad, and probably my favorite so far. good song to vibe to and the progression is amazing, especially to the second half. this oddly reminded me a bit of Four Tet for some reason lol, but overall great song
thank you @congrammy for the recommendation!
really soothing album. alot of the tracks are super chill and atmospheric, a few of the songs to me sounded like if you were walking through some sort of glowing crystal caves imo. I also really liked the progression in Driving Through Clouds. favorites are Repaint the Stars, World's Coldest Body, and Below the Waves
thank you @zig for the recommendation!
this heavily gave me vibes of Kill Bill's RAMONA, love the production here
how. how do you top an already good album.. and its a deluxe. this genuinely might be aoty
I remember coming across this album around a few days after it dropped. seeing it have a must hear grabbed my attention since its a rage album but I didn't think about it until the deluxe dropped today... and holy shit.
I have never really tapped into rage, but this is what ive been dodging for the past few months? this was a super fun listen and some of these beats are so bouncy and "colorful", its great. on top of that, the transitions are just crazy, especially the ... read more
I took wayy too long to get to this😭 but besides that, this was an awesome debut. I like how the atmosphere of the songs switch from something smooth and dreamlike to something energetic. seeing that each song has a "partner" track is something ive never seen before, but its a really neat concept. overall a great listen, favorite is probably The Graces You Deserved
thank you @congrammy for the recommendation, definitely going places :)
caught me by suprise ngl, the production here is smooth and I really enjoyed the energy in some of the songs especially in six figure. the only slight issue for me is that sometimes the voice doesn't fit the vibe of the instrumental but I think it could grow on me a bit, also I wish modern warfare was a bit longer 😭 favorites are track 4, 6, 11, and 13
thank you @P1kah for the recommendation!
wow... absolutely amazing from beginning to end. the production and the storytelling are beautifully done, especially on PROM/KING. that song is so phenomenal I couldn't even form a thought after hearing it, in addition to the concluding track. I love how Saba's flow intensifies with the instrumental, which I felt like it gave the song more emotional depth. definitely coming back to this soon
never heard of space ambient and mallsoft until now, so this was a pretty nice introduction for me. really soothing stuff and I will definitely tap into this genre more
thank you @dungrabbit for the recommendation!
sigh...
theres nothing really interesting here and almost everything in this album is generic, yet it works for Bruno considering this is like his signature sound. there were a few points of the album I enjoyed but lets be real these sound like the type of songs you would hear in a walmart or any store. I see a few of these songs becoming a hit or a "classic" in the future but besides that this honestly just feels like a cash grab to me. On My Soul is probably the favorite for me
its a nice album, honestly exceeded my expectations a bit. a few hard-hitting songs along with a few fun songs that I found myself quite liking alot despite the track ratings, with $ex Appeal being one of those tracks for me. there are some weak moments but Good Flirts is probably the lowlight of this album for me
that build up into the second half is so beautiful what the hell
honestly a beautiful album, but the second half doesnt hold up as much as the first unfortunately. other than that im super glad Duvet wasnt the only standout track here since its the only song I already knew beforehand. Twilight, Rain, Elephant, and Deeply are definitely worth mentioning, also Elephant's rating is a bit absurd imo
