Warming Up for The Fall-Off.
By Storm just dropped, and even if I haven’t listened to the album yet, I think J. Cole might already have a hard competitor for the best album of the year so far.
This second mixtape is identical to The Come Up in every aspect, just better. The production improved, even if there are some “stolen” beats; the rapping is more interesting, and Cole’s flow is a little more appealing.
The only issue I can still find here is the excessive length of the project: cutting off four or five of the worst songs could’ve brought this up to a 77 maybe.
