Edit: Score went from a 70 -> 60, I don't really find myself revisiting songs off this project
This album is complicated for me. Reason has amazing lyricism, storytelling, and flow + the themes and stories of this album are easy to digest and relatable. The production is a very sore spot for me. I think it has its moments, but a lot of these songs feel like the same beat with different words. Very promising sophomore album, and I would love to see where Reason goes next, but I do hope ... read more
EDIT -> Overtime I've really only come back to visit like 3 of the songs, its a fine album, but I don't think it warrants a 70 anymore
I really enjoyed this project, and don't really get the hate. I think Future can actually sing well and the production is great too. Awesome set of features as well.

2nd EDIT 96 -> 100, After many months with this album something just keeps bringing me back, I love the production on all of the songs, the singer's voice is so beautiful, there isn't a single song I dislike, and I would consider all of these songs perfect or near perfection. In a year filled with absolutely amazing music from some of my favorite artists this project still somehow manages to stand out for me.
EDIT 92 -> 96, This album is nearly perfect, and I want some more time ... read more
B-Dizzle is an up and coming rapper who is bringing back real rap. B-Dizzle takes us through his early years on 11 Cents, musing on how he used to not even have 11 cents to his name. A stark contrast from his current state, and a reflection on how far he has come. I Was Broke is something something something. You A Clown is a diss track on B-Dizzle's long time rival , and B-Dizzle goes absolutely hard on . Truly the kind of competition ... read more
Amazing harsh and aggressive sound that fits the tone of the album. Listened while at work and was pleasantly surprised.

I first listened to this album when it came out with my brother because he wanted to put me onto Kendrick. I wasn't a huge fan and even on later revisits when I started listening to Kendrick, I thought it was just ok. However today I decided to give this album another chance and I am seriously glad I did. The overarching story of DAMN. although not as polished as GKMC is great, and the idea of reversing the album for a different experience (something I have done) is awesome. In fact I really ... read more
Peggy just has it like that, this is fucking awesome. Great sampling, crazy flows, bars on bars on bars, and awesome beats too. Highlights for me were
Neon Kitchen: fucking awesome flow maybe favorite album
Neon Kitchen II: great sequel
Operation: Kill Stormfront: i love this beat and his rapping on this
Trophy kids: Also a contender for favorite song on the album, feels like a time capsule of like early 2010s internet culture
Montebello High School Prom: fire beat
The Power of Madonna: great ... read more
Lil Darkie’s album Boros answers the age old question of “what if The Money Store fucking sucked”. The mixing is terrible, the beats are trash, the rapping is bad, and his annoying fucking muscle man screaming voice that he does is miserably bad. I’ve listened to this album 4 times hoping that I could drag away something positive to say, and I just can’t. The more I listen the angrier this album makes me. Even the track listing makes me mad, if you want to make an ... read more
I found the first half of this album to be pretty boring and uninteresting until about crack rock. After Crack Rock it sounds like a completely different album, one that I love. I think that this album will probably grow on me overtime, but my current opinion on the first half is that the instrumentals are too withdrawn and Frank is not singing in an interesting enough way for the first half for withdrawn instrumentals to work. This does not apply to Sweet Life however that song is fire. Some ... read more
One of my favorite albums of all time with beautiful sounds and singing!
Great powerful production and rapping from Killer Mike, features were kind of weak in my opinion but never brought down the quality of a song. Insane that this is a debut album too, phenomenal. Some standout tracks for me were Run The Jewels, Banana Clippers, DDFH, Sea Legs, Job Well Done, Get It, and A Christmas Fucking Miracle
Good freddie project, overall i found most of the songs to be good but not great. Great features and some solid production from Madlib. Standouts for me were Half Manne Half Cocaine, Crime Pays, Palmolive, Fake Names, Situations, Giannis, and Cataracts.
Kero Kero Bonito has truly crafted something magnificent here and has easily created one of my favorite albums of all time. It sounds amazing, has incredible production, and Sarah Bonito sings her heart out. Some stand out tracks for me were Time Today, Only Acting, Flyway, Dump, Make Believe, Visiting Hours, Sometimes, Swimming, and Rest Stop
Great rock album, every band member brings something to the table, and Dave Grohl on the drums on some of the songs absolutely kills it. Some stand outs for me were You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire, No One Knows, First It Giveth, Song for the Dead, Six Shooter, Go With The Flow, Do It Again, and Another Love song.
You know an album is amazing when even the bonus tracks slap. G.K.M.C is easily my favorite Kendrick project and while i think that from an objective standpoint TPAB is a better album, this one will always have a spot close to my heart. The short film storytelling that this album does is executed perfectly, with every song tying into each other creating a beautiful story about one day that changed Kendrick's outlook on life in Compton. I would even go as far as to say that Sing About Me, I'm ... read more
I would argue that Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is maybe one of the most important albums of this decade. It's truly hard for me to articulate my feelings in a written format like this. While I understand and agree with the criticism of Kodak Black being on this album, I think that his inclusion does serve to elevate the art and the message that Kendrick wants to send with this album.

sounds fine, overall boring project, i was surprised there wasnt more talk about this album when it came out i didnt even know it had until tonight. I was never a huge fan of Ariana and while this album sounds fine it definitely feels very safe and poppy. The only track that stood out to me was bye, i thought the production was very good on that.
Pretty good album from schoolboy q, I am pleasantly surprised. Definitely a little bloated, but a serious contender for rap album of the year, and probably my album of the month. Great beats, mostly great features but they do start to dip in quality near the end minus Childish Major on Pig feet. Some standout tracks for me were Pop (amazing Rico Nasty feature btw) Yeern 101, THank god 4 me, Foux, First, Pig feet, and Smile.
