I think the change of sound isn’t bad at all, although it was difficult to get used to how julian sounded on this record. The guitar parts on this one are great and some of the more creative ones in the strokes catalogue. First four tracks are amazing. yolo, juicebox and razorblade are some of the best strokes tracks ever. Even though i didn’t enjoy the second half as much as the first one this album is fucking amazing. Sugar/Tzu, Eat Man Eat and Welcome to Hell must be one of the best three song runs oat. 2022 aoty.

Nothing amazing, but still an enjoyable set of songs. This is going to be a fantano’s light six.
The three extra songs from the deluxe are better than half of the standard version.
