I grew up listening to songs from this album, my dad is a big REO Speedwagon fan. There are some highlights in this album, some could sound like early progressive rock. Overall, it's fine. I'll give it a 65 just because it could be better.
Goddamn, I was waiting for this. After listening to all of Mitski non-stop for about 3 months, I had very high expectations for what a new album would be. Needless to say, I am not disappointed. It's barely February but I am pretty certain this is gonna be my favorite album this year.
Been listening to this since it came out and I can't put it down. Despite being 8 minutes long, I often find myself listening to it in repeat.
One of the easiest to listen emo albums ever made, you can just put it on and drift away under the twinkly guitar riffs and beautiful vocals. Every track has cohesion with each other and fit perfectly in the mood of this album. The perfect farewell for a great band.
I know I already gave CSH a 100 rating with Twin Fantasy. BUT... I feel that if I could give this album a 101, I would. This album is perfection, it is a heartbreaking masterpiece and probably the album I have related to the most in my life. I know relatability isn't the most objective way to rate an album but in this case I think said relatability makes it so the lyrics can land so much closer.
