i actually liked some of these covers more than the originals (feel good inc, hips don't lie), which are also some of the best songs on the album. i just didnt really like the model without me and carribean blue the rest are fine..
this was the comeback we needed. i loved everything here and hemlocke devoured with this.
best: head, shoulders, knees and ankles, w-w-w-w-w, moses
worst: sense is (prelude)
RELISTEN AND RERANK: my opinion still hasnt changed that much but old technology grew on me and is now in my top 6. i dont really like old flings, unkown loverz and crank and they bring the score down. i mightve been a bit harsh with a 63 before but this is not her best work. i get that shes trying to be loud and i see it and she definetly accomplished, but most of the songs sound similar and i dont like it.. YES GODDD is a better version of CRANK to be honest.
Best: DANCE, YES GODDD, GAS ... read more
This is my second favourite work of hers and i relisten to it basically daily. I love the production and her voice overall here, but there were some weak moments which made my ranking lower.
Best: Designer Sadness, Napalm
Worst: Fuck The Hollywood Cult (i just didnt enjoy it as much)
THIS WAS AMAZING. not a single skip, nothing. i was introduced to zheani not long ago, like two years ago because of my first listen to worldwide torture. monster truck is one of my favourite songs on worldwide torture which led me to listen to Zheani and i loved her music. i love this album and i love her.
Best: Every Song
Worst: None
okay this is her BESTT by a mile. i loved this and it was a very pleasing listen and i was soo gagged by the deluxe tracks, especially the album beggining with one of the best songs made by her. i will forever love this album.
Best: Starfucker, James Dean
Worst: Memories of You
NOTE: first 2 songs sound the same. really real is the only highlight here along with sucker for love, the rest of the album i didnt really enjoy. i dont know if its just the first listen or something but this is a mess kind of, so many producers but the songs have the asme one instrument that makes them repetitive.
Best: Really Hard
Worst: Sexistential
Short review, but im gonna get to it: someone get them to find themselves and not blindly follow their label.
Best Song: M.I.A
Worst: Gameboy
ok this isnt horrible i moved a bit actually but its still absolutely terrible and such a step down from MIA or other songs. they need to find their sound and not buy songs from some random people cause they bought gnarly and now they bought this. this is jump but if it was remade and sold on temu or something
A fun album, i love this aesthetic. My favourite track is Pretty Ugly. The rest are fine, Hot & Sexy is a bit boring, same for Crush and Puss Puss. Pretty Ugly, Midnight Sun, Eurosummer and Blue Moon are the only tracks that i will relisten to.
i loved this especially scorese baby daddy which is probably my favourite track
Jordan Fish needs to give up. When i thought Poppy was going to get amazing, she flopped. The title sticks to the album, because my hands are empty, just as how every track here felt, except Guardian, Bruised Sky and Ribs. I expected so much more but we were given so much less. Poppy has an amazing voice and so much potential that can be used with the right producer.
okay i relistened and instead of being biased i properly rated this. this album has THE hit, the fate of ophelia, which is one of my favourites, along with Elizabeth Taylor, Wood and Opalite. The rest of the songs are actually fine, it's just Eldest Daughter, Wish List and Cancelled bringing it down. This isn't Taylor's best work, definetly, and it won't compare to her best album according to me (Midnights).
Loved this! It's a suprising good album and i didnt expect this from raye at all but i kind of did because of how good where is my husband was.
