Niall Horan - Dinner Party

Niall Horan seems to return to his One Direction roots on “Dinner Party” but in a more mature, Niall Horan as a soloist kind of way.

Not one song on this album is bad, boring, or lacklustre. If anything, the album is an easy listen. It’s got motion, its got rhythm, production is clean, lyrics are nice, but where these things make the album a strong album, they also don’t do much for it either. Not one part of me listening to this album thought that there was anything ... read more

Lizzo - BITCH

Lizzo’s “BITCH” isn’t the show stopper that she thinks it is. The real question amongst the release of this album is, what happened to Lizzo?

I understand the controversies that happened with Lizzo in recent years but were they that bad to hinder her from making the feel good, confident pop music that, despite how much we loved or loathed it, we couldn’t get out of our heads? This album is full of ideas that just were not executed with the finesse and the glitter ... read more

Kim Petras - Detour

So I guess this is Kim’s debut album since stepping away from her previous label, allowing her to enter a new creative space and release music that she fills is more moulded to her artistry, at least from what I understand of it.

Labrinth - COSMIC OPERA ACT II

The second instalment from Labrinth’s “COSMIC OPERA” series is a more solid and cohesive body of work in comparison to the first, however the question still stands of, what is it really for?

My first guess, now having experienced both acts, is that this is an artistic explosion of Labrinth. I’m guessing that Labrinth has wanted to release a multitude of different genre-bending creative takes and perhaps certain music industry suits has tried to keep the lid on the box ... read more

Latto - Big Mama

“Big Mama” sees the final send off (at least for now) to Latto. After her global success of “Big Energy” which later featured Mariah Carey, Latto gained global success on a few more hits later on in her career. Now, after giving birth, Latto announced that “Big Mama” would he her retirement album.

So, about the album… I’m going to be honest. I don’t look at Latto as an artist and think she’s anything amazing. She has a couple of ... read more
