In my opinion, Kanye released this project when he was in his most-radical state but still did things with a purpose. His overconfident God complex was maxed out, but he wasn't saying psychotic stuff like going DEFCON 3 on people.
If you look at my other reviews I give out a lot of 100's. HOWEVER, this is my definitive greatest album of all time. It's so much more than something that I just enjoy listening to. It's Kendrick Lamar's personal experiences with fame, black culture, black power, self-consciousness/confidence, and more. I can't name another project that has changed the way I see the world more than this one. An absolute must-listen.
I love this album so much. I have Crime Pays set as my morning alarm song. There's so much lyrical depth and complexity to this album. But even if you're just playing it in the background it still bumps.
Not the biggest Paramore fan, but I easily consider this my favorite project. You get all the fun and excitement of a 2000's pop-punk project, without feeling corny.
