My 56-year-old dad has been making music his entire life and just released his first official single. He continues to inspire me by showing me his continued passion for creating music. I'm obviously biased as his son, but I love the song; it means the world to me. You should check it out if you feel inclined to do so! Love you, Dad <3 (note: he made the cover art!)
While this album shines with quality, I struggle to stay invested throughout the tracklist. It lacks the stickiness of Igor or Flower Boy. Even intensely introspective tracks such as Hey Jane fail to win me over. Somehow, it doesn't feel as sonically personal as songs like Garden Shed or Are We Still Friends. While this project is a bit long, it remains captivating. Lots of good tracks that keep me engaged enough to have a positive and enjoyable listening experience.
