LL Burns - Here I Am
87

What the hell this guy is talented, I'm a fan.

Ozzy Osbourne - Patient Number 9
29

I see everyone is letting their sentiment do the rating, ok. I can't really say much about Ozzy's last record because it is in fact really bad. It lacks any form of creativity, character or even soul, but what did I expect. At least I'm happy some people are enjoying this, isn't that what music is all about!

LL Burns - R B J
80

Noice sound

Charli xcx - Rock Music
56

I get what she’s trying to do and knowing her impact, this song might do very well in certain scenes. For me this just sounds like a lackluster, edgy attempt at gentrifying early LCD Soundsystem (even more) with a corny “life is a highway” type riff

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
90

fucking hell shoot this shit right into my veins

DEADLETTER - Pop Culture Connoisseur
84

Excellent catchy singles, strong Gang of Four influences

The Haunted Youth - Boys Cry Too
60

With their couple of singles I could already sense the direction they were going... Boys Cry Too is, like its name and cover art suggests, a highly emotional and theatrical record. While still being mainly indie pop, it draws a lot of inspiration from cloud rap, emo and pop punk, which are literally some of the very few genres I can't stand. There's just too little creativity and interesting moments in his songwriting, which was already a little problem in his debut record (which I ... read more

Iceage - The Weak
76

Strongest of the 3 singles so far, that recorder solo tho and why is it so long hahaha

DEADLETTER - Hysterical Strength
82

First half is amazing and among the best and most refreshing post-punk of the 20's. Second half kind of disappoints as it shifts a bit from its punk character.

North West - N0rth4evr
15

What in the maximalist earrape is this, I wouldn’t even allow my 12 year old to listen to this shit

Iceage - Ember
69

don't like the vocal mix on this at all... Song is OK

Beach Fossils - Beach Fossils
83

Ahhh that early 2010’s Brooklyn scene was something…

Beach Fossils - Clash the Truth
84

As a huge DIIV fan this is obviously 100% up my alley! Can I call this dream-punk? Seems like a fitting name. Anyways, great record and super influential in the indie scene.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers - Sidewalk
74

Fun, simple, inoffensive debut. All the songs are pretty similar but it didn’t bother me all that much.

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
92

I've hardly come across a record as confident and mature as Spirit of Eden. Every direction, every note, the moments of serene stillness, the loud clashes, everything, really every moment is so fitting. We can't express enough gratitude towards people like Mark Hollis, those who pushed the boundaries of their times.

I know Hollis doesn't have many quotes, but if there's one a musician should live by, let it be this one: “Before you play two notes, learn how to play ... read more

My New Band Believe - My New Band Believe
73

Definitely the most interesting record of 2026 yet, but too theatrical for me even though I 100% get the people that love this. The instrumentation is stellar, but musical-like theatrics are not a thing I can tolerate in songs.

Lime Garden - Maybe Not Tonight
72

Not my style of post-punk, but it's a pretty solid record nonetheless.

ESPRIT 空想 [Esprit Fantasy] - virtua.zip
73

Vaporwave GOD, bit repetitive tho compared to some of his later work.

Turnstile - GLOW ON
62

Hardcore pop

"@CaNiTi I just saw your review and you said it way better than me haha. I just saw him live by the way and every fucking song went on for at least 7 minutes, which I don't mind at all when you can back it up with interesting songwriting, that was sadly enough not the case."

"@LabubuLafufu like I said: lackluster, way too on-the-nose, cringe, millennial lyrics. Her singing style and timbre is also extremely close to Taylor Swift's in this record. My main problem is just the vocals, the rest is still below average but I could get behind some moments if I gave it some time, which I won't."

"It's a real grower isn't it... First listen I thought meh, but I just couldn't quite seem to shake off the feeling I got from Snow Day and Water in the Well. Now it's one of my favorite records of the decade with Snow Day arguably being my favorite single of the last few years. That's what art does"

"@ro_ott you’re probably the first person ever to say Jonny Greenwood is “stupid and annoying”. He’s a super introverted genius that doesn’t even talk ever. What a genuinely weird thing to say 🤨"

"I completely agree! Very impressive record, but not a single ounce of replayability. I hate that people compare this to Björk, because she is quite the opposite…"
On ozempicAndy's review of shame - Cutthroat
"@ozempicAndy You're right about the UK post-punk scene, it's so saturated that 90 percent of the lot sounds the same. I just think Shame, along with their contemporaries did it better and kickstarted that post-punk revival train a bit earlier than the knock-offs that came after like 2020. Btw, totally agree with you on the compressed mix. Weird choice for a loud, cathartic live band."
On ozempicAndy's review of shame - Cutthroat
"Although I could get why people don't like this song, Shame does not have "the most standard and radio friendly post-punk to offer" at all. They definitely have released some simple post-punk songs in the beginning of their career, but that's only a fraction of their discography. Listen to Snow Day or anything from Food For Worms, that's like the opposite of what you're implying, also partly the reason why they haven't moved to the mainstream like IDLES or Fontaines."

On Joost - Unity
"@phlopi6 I didn't say anything about the production quality and I just think the lyrics and general instrumentation are super unflattering and boring especially compared to his earlier records, even if it's not supposed to be insightful. Gabber music has been done so many times and I feel like the whole techno + rapping/ singing style is massively outdated. Look I think this is fine as carnaval or say après ski music, but outside of that I genuinely don't get why people would play this seriously. But hey if you like it, have a good time"
