I see everyone is letting their sentiment do the rating, ok. I can't really say much about Ozzy's last record because it is in fact really bad. It lacks any form of creativity, character or even soul, but what did I expect. At least I'm happy some people are enjoying this, isn't that what music is all about!
I get what she’s trying to do and knowing her impact, this song might do very well in certain scenes. For me this just sounds like a lackluster, edgy attempt at gentrifying early LCD Soundsystem (even more) with a corny “life is a highway” type riff
With their couple of singles I could already sense the direction they were going... Boys Cry Too is, like its name and cover art suggests, a highly emotional and theatrical record. While still being mainly indie pop, it draws a lot of inspiration from cloud rap, emo and pop punk, which are literally some of the very few genres I can't stand. There's just too little creativity and interesting moments in his songwriting, which was already a little problem in his debut record (which I ... read more
First half is amazing and among the best and most refreshing post-punk of the 20's. Second half kind of disappoints as it shifts a bit from its punk character.
What in the maximalist earrape is this, I wouldn’t even allow my 12 year old to listen to this shit
As a huge DIIV fan this is obviously 100% up my alley! Can I call this dream-punk? Seems like a fitting name. Anyways, great record and super influential in the indie scene.
Fun, simple, inoffensive debut. All the songs are pretty similar but it didn’t bother me all that much.
I've hardly come across a record as confident and mature as Spirit of Eden. Every direction, every note, the moments of serene stillness, the loud clashes, everything, really every moment is so fitting. We can't express enough gratitude towards people like Mark Hollis, those who pushed the boundaries of their times.
I know Hollis doesn't have many quotes, but if there's one a musician should live by, let it be this one: “Before you play two notes, learn how to play ... read more
Definitely the most interesting record of 2026 yet, but too theatrical for me even though I 100% get the people that love this. The instrumentation is stellar, but musical-like theatrics are not a thing I can tolerate in songs.
Not my style of post-punk, but it's a pretty solid record nonetheless.
Vaporwave GOD, bit repetitive tho compared to some of his later work.
