Ah, Semetary... I'm not very experienced with the sound of him and the rest of Haunted Mound, to be honest. Strangled, which has now been split into bands PeelingFlesh and Orphan, has always had such a vocal presence on songs that is undeniable. While Orphan is some of my favorite metal ever, and I'm fine with PeelingFlesh, I never gave Strangled a listen. The hook is beautiful. Flashes of mid-2010's Architects with some pretty great production. Guitars could be more unique, and im not the biggest fan of the chorus, but this is a massive improvement over Seeing Red.
It seems like a lot of people don't favor this over Blinding Faith, so I guess I have to be the contrarian. While I loved Blinding Faith, I did think it had some gimmicky parts that I didn't enjoy. This, on the other hand, is such an interesting experimentation from Knocked Loose that I can't help but adore it. This album will probably be my AOTY when it comes out.
Someone remind me to review this. I've listened to it before, but i need to get my thoughts together for a relisten.
