listened to this album again for the first time since about 2011 after being reminded of it online and realised how much it has impacted my own writing over the years. it still gives me this hard to name, nostalgic, liminal, whilst also soul-hugging feeling a lot of music from this era conveyed. there's a super interesting intricacy in terms the way the track list is laid out that overall feels disjointed at times but also very cohesive in a great way
❣️ cervical cedric, empathy 4 bethany, tooo loud!, sadness residue, leeches on my thesis!, if there's no seat in the sky
Just a crazy experience all the way through, come out with a new favourite song and moment every time
❣️ before i sleep, ophelia, open wide, in words, let me in, drown
The most beautiful medieval inspired, dark, gory, album to sink your teeth into - perfect
❣️ protector (lifetime fave), these chains, why?
One of my all-time favourite albums, just transports me to another dimension. Constantly trying to pick apart how parts of this album was made. mind blowing songwriting & structure. Synths!!!!
❣️ ragdoll, puppet, devil eye, debbie darling

❣️ a million shades of sky, friend to the horizon, somewhere else, lose the plot
Here's to Nowhere remains one of my all time favourites. It makes me feel unbelievably relaxed, feels like I'm floating through the clouds (as I'm sure was intended)
❣️ strange girl, held down, alexandra, the end of the affair, for you
❣️ baby rockstar, absence of, public domain (ouch), my secret, rain machine
