I listened to this knowing it was the best post rock album of all time and it still knocked my socks off. Incredible album.

An amazing step forward from their already outstanding debut. When the day comes for this band's debut album, it will be the easiest album of the year contender for me ever.

Coming into this project having only heard Tally Hall's "Good & Evil" had me utterly shocked at the musical depth Hawley managed to capture here, something I found myself dearly missing in that album.

black hole fantasy is one of the best songs ever and it caught me so off guard

This review was written across the 3 months after this album's release in late 2024 - early 2025. I'm just copy/pasting it here for record-keeping. It was written more or less as an open letter to my friends, who are referenced multiple times though the review. Some of the prose doesn't make a lot of sense removed from that context but I still wanted this here in whole.
