Load is an overhated album and I dont get it, alot of my favourite Metallica songs are on this album such as King Nothing, Bleeding Me, and Hero of the Day. It takes what The Black Album was doing and just does it better, the tracks are heavier and groovier than anything they've done before and the bass is especially noticeable in this album which I love. The only issue is the amount of filler in the album, alot of these songs are very forgettable and even though I just listened to the ... read more
Metallicas self titled album is largely an improvement on the flaws mentioned in And Justice For All. The Black Album innovated their sound to lean into a heavier but more radio friendly sound on tracks like Enter Sandman and Sad But True, but the band collectively also added emotion into their music which has seldom been done since Fade to Black. Songs like Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven are very fresh takes on their sound and convey a great deal emotion which I love, this was ... read more

However there are two main issues with the album that arent big ones but should be mentioned anyway, and those are the mixing and Hetfields confidence in his vocals. Occasionally the mixing feels it leans too heavily into the instruments and it drowns ... read more
Master of Puppets takes what Ride the Lightning did and made it better with zero drawbacks, and for that it is the formula for what thrash metal should be in my opinion, every thrash metal artist should draw inspiration from this album. There is nothing I can say about this album other than that it is quite possibly the greatest metal album to ever grace this planet Earth; there are ZERO flaws and everything you could ask for in a thrash album is here. On another note, this album is what first ... read more
