I went into this album expecting to be at the very least somewhat entertained because I often find AOTY is really picky with their ratings of deathcore albums. The critic score after all is an 80. How bad can it be? First song starts; the screams aren’t actually that bad. I’ve heard better, and I’ve heard worse. Then he starts to sing. Oh boy. Overall this shit is laughably unimaginative and cringe inducing. HIGHLY recommend.
I’m more of a Plastic Beach boy but if someone told me The Mountain was Gorillaz magnum opus I wouldn’t be mad.
Seems to be overhated. I love her previous album and while it’s a few steps down, this new album is still really solid.
It’s genuinely miraculous, and certainly a testament to Drake, how he manages to get more mind numbingly boring with each release. Impressive.
Creative ass mfs over here. Hard ass beats, catchy flows and melodies. I’m shocked this doesn’t have more ratings.
The best Sonic has sounded in a long time.
It’s a fun throwback hip hop album. But unfortunately that’s all it is.
Unfortunately I’m not as crazy about the album as a whole like a lot of other people but with that being said Play Dead is a fucking banger, horrifying, and certainly one of the best metal songs of the year.
