Their evolution as a standalone artist is absolutely nuts. Never could I have expected something like this back when A Seasons End came out. I knew it wasn't the greatest and that they had a lot of potential to expand but I still bumped it for weeks. I even bought it on Bandcamp just so I could listen to it before it came out on Spotify.
Fast forward to today, it feels absolutely insane to be listening to something like this right now, hell I can't even believe this is the same person. First and foremost, their vocal delivery; a bassy but distinct voice with loads of potential to what has now become some of the most comforting sounding indie rock vocals I've ever heard. The instrumentation; cozier than ever, structurally improved on and is in general just dreamy as shit (this is what the queers need). Album direction; they always had it the most w this one specifically, but it's still NUTS compared to the previous stuff. Tracklisting; beautiful.
Thank you drug bug, this is pretty damn amazing and probably as close we'll ever come to wetdream in quality if this isn't already up there with it.
