this album has some really good ideas with its agressive and catchy sound but is held back at points by very poor lyricism and lack of creative use of an otherwise great palate.

as layered as each track is it just gets a bit bland as the same patterns are reused which maintain the atmosphere but don't do much to add to it.

this is the definitive radiohead album. their magnum opus. unmatched levels of production and emotion.

the production highs in the money store stand as some of the highest i've heard in all of rap music, but there are a decent amount of underwhelming songs and low lows. its inconsistency ranks it slightly below exmilitary but i feel like this rating is very volatile.

i've listened to alot of death grips before but i've decided to begin a discog sweep attentively listening to each project chronologically, and exmilitary is first.
this mixtape feels much more raw compared to the death grips music I know. i find myself enjoying the parts loaded with different instruments and samples more than the emptier strings of ride's vocals over some percussion.

it's sad to say because this was once my favorite album but the amount of times i've heard some of these tracks has taken away some enjoyement. regardless it still contains some of kendrick's best songs and is an enjoyable, immersive experience.

gluee is the most ethereal and atmospheric rap album i've heard. it's production is so incredible that even the weaker performances can be forgiven by the vivid scene they paint. this project's sound will likely never be replicated. whitearmor and bladee's best work to date.

the album starts of strong with mostly high points until it gets to tracks 13-17 and you just fall asleep. after that there's a few good tracks but it just seems watered out. eventually bro just talks over beats and you just want it to wrap up already.
