This album makes my heart sink into a warm and velvet-like slumber......maybe I should get a check-up. Oh well, regardless of the side effects, this is a gorgeous singer-songwriter album. Damien Rice pours in deep and meaningful lyricism that evokes such a powerful and emotional response towards us, the listeners.

His range perfects the sonic essence of a cozy environment to coaxed you into a false sense of security, before he introduces many sorrowful storytelling. It keeps you alert and engaged, yet at the exact same time, it makes you want to close your eyes and fall deep inside of your own imagination to try and picture the exact scene being relayed. Damien Rice is upfront about his own struggles, yet welcomes them with open arms to tell us through the power of song. There's a lot of juxtaposition as a result, and makes for one hell of a good sit-down-and-enjoy project.
