POP IS BACK and chappell roan is the perfect vessel for it in this super graphic ultra modern world. gorgeous voice and production, surprisingly deep and meaningful writing - chappell lays out the perfect pop star aesthetic, and i can't wait to see more from her. that being said it does lose a bit of its punch toward the end, but i can see it growing on me further.
i'm very glad i pressed through and came around to folk, and back to this album for a relisten. this is nothing but gorgeous, tender warmth, circle dancing to the sound of someone else's sorrows as the sun sets. it's a beautiful, nearly flawless experience
