Tyler Glenn really opens up here. No matter if you're religious or not, you need to admit that there's a peculiar depth and beauty in this. Music---especially this kind, is perhaps the best for empathy and finding meaning in anyone's life no matter who they are or where they are in their journey.
Ben Folds hits the right spots to make enjoyable music. Just a little monotonous at times, and lacks some umph here and there.
This whole project is very monotonous. There are a couple of diamonds in the rough, but they're difficult to pull out of this muddled slog of an album. Even despite this album's blaring faults, there is some redemption to be found in how you listen to it. It's good study music.
Is this album worth its hype? No. Absolutely not.
Overall it's not bad by any means; there's a part of me who wants to rate this an 85, but I just can't. This album was a slog. The problem is probably not with the music, I just don't like this stuff, I guess. Nonetheless, this project is certainly not a 100.

Dave Bayley got really personal with this project and that's something to appreciate. Each track has a depth that some artists may struggle to attain. That said, it's conveyed with, at many times, sub-par sound and nonsensical lyricism. All in all, not bad.
