Bruno's kitchen sink approach works wonders in small bursts, but this is an age where over-stimulation is the norm, and the aptly named Run never really finds its mark, as it too often charges brazenly into the ether and is gone forever.
Run is more of a technical accomplishment than an artistic one.
Run is unconventional, interesting, and full of energy. There’s a lot to discover here, and Bruno has melded his very strong vocals with great lyrics and a lot of interesting electronic sounds to create an album that offers something new with each layer you peel back.
Jumping between moods as frequently as this record does makes it nothing short of exhausting, and though a Red Bull Records contract may allude to this being the auditory equivalent of the company's drink, Run is far from it.

Back when I was just a kid, I thought Run was a good song with great potential for memes. 9 years later and now I realise ... it's even better when I hear the full track and I don't just stop after the funny part.

This is what imagine dragons should be, perfectly blends alt and pop rock with indietronica and industrial subgenres to make a somewhat electronic rock masterpiece. I’m also aware this by far the most niche album ever but I memorized this practically by heart so chill.
A lot more of a refined and polished album compared to their previous, this has its moments, and songs like “Run” and “Woman” are pretty great, but besides this, this album is rather samey
More refined in their craft than they were on their debut. too bad their craft isn't particularly tasteful music.
Run is a very mixed bag but a good mixed bag. The softer tracks on here tend to fall a little flat because of just how insane the experimentation on some of the other songs are. Tracks like the title track, "KOOKSEVERYWHERE!!!," "I Am," and "Windows" have some of the most out there and unique sound palates I've ever heard.
