Brian Wilson production is just crazy. I don't know how he did this in the 60's but he did and it sounds so fresh and unique to this day. I loved every song when it came to this but i also didn't enjoy the vocals and flows on most of this LP. Giving it a 6 mostly because of production, but when it comes to actual singing i understood that Beach Boys are not for me at all. Still a great and timeless project that deserves attention.

I saw that people hated on this album when it first came out because it wasn't as good as Purple Rain. After listening to it i can agree with this take but not being on the same level as one of the best albums ever made is not that bad, as Around the World in a Day still has Prince's stunning vocals, crazy solos, great instrumental, and overall vibe. Almost a perfect LP for me.

I still don't understand why people on here didn't like this album as much as i did. What i heard was 40 minutes of you won't believe me - interesting hip-hop album. It wasn't high pitched, extreme bass beats generic rage album that nowadays counts as "experimental rap".

Despite not hearing anything generational on this LP and i was expecting it after reading "the best songwriter of our generation" on Apple Music, Mitski didn't disappoint me at all with this album. I loved the vibe of it, also how every song had a music video to it, and i also liked how she sounds. What i didn't like is the theme of this LP which seemed too generic and obvious at times.
