Midori's debut studio album shows their sound at an already pretty fully formed sate; rare for debuts. However, its biggest thing holding it back from being a masterpiece is its occasionally weak production and slightly rough around the edges production. Everything is here - the confident, incredible vocal performances, the loud abrasiveness, the heavy jazz influence, all the pieces were in place, Midori just barely missed the bar of being able to bring these ideas to their fullest potential, something I think they succeeded much more at on their second album.
definitely a great one from them!
