While this has some really nice, jazzy instrumentation, Common's lyrics and flows weren't enough to carry this whole record for me. Anything that didn't blend in stuck out in a not-so-great way for me, and in general this just didn't really standout as anything too special to my ears. A lot of the lyrics here felt very rudimentary and in general Common's delivery could've worked a lot better if this was more of a soul-oriented project or something like that. With that being said, it has a nice sound and is pretty inoffensive, but it's nothing to write home about.
