So much to say about this album. Such a crazy rollout with the Iceman episodes, episode four was crazy to watch live and see all the music videos and the plot twist at the end. I was really excited to listen to all 3 albums, but unfortunately Habibti and Maid of Honor are mostly sleepers or straight trash. This album was very good on first listen for me though.
1. Make Them Cry - Great song, crazy that a song with no hook and just bars is the biggest debut song ever on Spotify.
2. Dust - ... read more
Very easy to listen to, I like how they change up the genres a bit from track to track. But the bar was set too high by glaive's last album Y'all, so this is a noticeable step back from him.
5. Lighthouse - 88/100
7. Staying Still - 89/100
19. A Few Of Your Own 86/100
20. Orbiter - 89/100
So many good ideas here that it makes me upset how similar sounding every track sounds. Most of the songs as standalone tracks would be very solid, but as a collaborative effort it's way too repetitive for me to rate it very high. That being said I really like a few songs, like Janne's Cotton Candy and Pink Material. WongTong Soup is the worst song of the year so far though.
Trip down nostalgia lane for me. Songs like Zach and Codeine and Candy Paint and Over Now I hadn't heard in like 5 years.
Don't know where Slayyyter came from but wow this is it.

I've been a fan of Charlie since lockdown, and I really love the new direction he has gone in. Obviously having a wife and a kid now has changed his life so much, and I think we see that reflected in this album. It feels like Charlie was done with trying to put his finger on the trendy pop songs and utilized his musical talent to make an 80s inspired record that truly encapsulates how good he really can be.
Although I am more nostalgic for his other albums, this is easily his best.

Che is unironically one of the most influential artists in the genre right now, which is of course because of Rest in bass but even the Encore deluxe did a lot to push his sound further. I feel like this was his attempt to take it another step further with the vocals, and unfortunately I don't think it works.
I think it's going to grow on me a lot over time. I wish it was disco all the time, kiss occasionally because all my favorite tracks are the disco-inspired ones.
Fav tracks - Coming Up Roses, Season 2 Weight Loss, Carla's Song, Aperture, American Girls
least fav tracks - Ready, Steady, Go! Paint By Numbers, The Waiting Game
Apart from Kendricks verse in Good Flirts and the second beat on Ca$ino I like every part of this album. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's just some classic Baby Keem, and he's one of my favorite rappers so I love it.
Fav tracks - Ca$ino (the first half is way better than the second), Highway 95 pt.2, Dramatic Girl, $ex Appeal, I am not a Lyricist (this song might be my favorite, it had me reflecting on my life and reminded me of a memory I hadn't thought about in years)
