Lizzo - Lizzobangers
NR

Really interesting to hear Lizzo in the more hip-hop direction and honestly the title pretty much says it all. It's a bunch of really fun songs but at least in my opinion not as hard hitting as some of her later stuff. Also, I feel like in some songs production just overwhelmed Lizzo's voice and made it hard to make out what she was rapping. And she has some pretty good lyrics like on the song "Bloodlines" for example.

Lizzo - Coconut Oil
NR

This is definitely the EP when you can hear the stylistic shift from hip hop to more pop sounds with Lizzo's music. And it also can be heard by the quality of every song. It does kinda feel like her and Ricky Reed were just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

We have two absolutely beautiful bangers "Worship" and "Good as Hell" that are basically a prologue to phenomenal "Cuz I love you" that Lizzo will release few years later. On both of those song ... read more

Nothing But Thieves - What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way?
NR

This one is great and a fun listen. Nothing is especially groundbreaking and some lyrics are bordering at being "Twilight" or "Teen Wolf" level of cringe (Looking at you "Forever & Ever More" with "My little Draculove" line) but it's definitely not a wasted time.

Favourite Track: Take This Lonely Heart

The Wombats - Fix Yourself, Not The World
NR

This is a definition of an album that you put on while cleaning your flat. It sounds nice when it's on but when you actually listen to it you realise it doesn't actually have that much to offer, which is a shame since I actually like the first three tracks. Especially,
"Flip me upside down" as it's really energetic and the chorus is insanely catchy and I sometimes find myself humming it.

Unfortunately, after those 3 the quality takes quite a nosedive into a mix of boring songs. ... read more

foxtails - fawn

This album has been my introduction to the Screamo genre, and a really good one at it. I loved the really passionate vocals, and how they worked really well with the depressing lyrics. The instrumentation sounds great especially at the most intense moments of songs like: "La Belle Indifference" or "Paper Tiger". The violin played by the newest member of the band is just fantastic and really ties all the songs together, maybe besides "Star-crossed" where I feel like ... read more
