Mixed feelings about Kill Em All. James Hetfield's vocals are hardly even audible at some moments. I will say the guitar's can go crazy fast and Lars' drum playing is really good here, compared to many of his performances. James really loves to impress us with his fast, tap-oriented style guitar solos but they really haven't sparked any interest for me.

Most of the solos feel more just for the speed and showing off rather than actually trying to sound good. Although the solo on the song "Jump In The Fire" Is really decent even if it's flashy. It had a decent amount of musicality to it.

Must i say, the album cover is so nostalgic. As for my dad had it as his Black Ops 2 Emblem, and I always saw that and thought it was really badass. (Which, It is)

Something else I should mention is that, Cliff Burton's bass tones and bass playing are really good here. Better than I thought, people do hype him up for a good reason and you have to respect that.

"(Anesthesia) — Pulling Teeth": Those are just one of those songs you just have to hear live to understand, now for this song. What I said Is opposite. The drums are lacking but the guitar is amazing, the drums sound off-beat, maybe its because Lars might be doing too much swing. The guy can't keep a consistent rhythm to save his life.

"Whiplash": Took almost 20 minutes for this album to go back to some head-banger songs. I thought the only song I would like would be "Hit The Lights" And for this song, the solo is actually really good sounding and not all just tap spam. Though this genre is built off tap spam so I can't really complain about that.

The weirdly awful mixing at some moments throws me off on this entire album. It would be like 8 points higher if it was mixed properly. Not to be that guy though.

I love how the ladder half of the album is more groovy and actually decent to listen to. But that first half was no too great..

Overall I would say... It got amazing towards the end and It's not a bad first album by any means.
