Schafter przedstawiał się inaczej niż inni, zapożyczał z nietypowych miejsc i mieszał pewne niecodzienne stylistyczne elementy z ... read more
Hors d'oeuvre Schaftera w kilku zdaniach:
Lofi-esque brzmienie próbujące się lirycznie uwikłać w estetykę wczesnych lat dwutysięcznych, z przewózką strukturalnie odpowiednią dla soundcloudowego trapu drugiej połowy ubiegłej dekady.
Nieskomplikowane użycie jazzowych sampli skąpane w vaporwave'owej otoczce by stworzyć przystępne, przyjemne, chwytliwe, i estetycznie atrakcyjne numery.
Nie idący daleko edge.
Czy to działa?
W głównej mierze nie. Schafter ... read more
This album is a gorgeus adventure through an escapist, vulnerable soul that desires to live life to the fullest. E covers topics of identity and shame, for example on the song Peroxide. Further down the road he explores his own escapism, desire and fear of self destruction, although, the "self destruction" themes throughout this album I would rather label as "self transformation". He desired a destruction of ones self in order to create a new one, one that will be perfect. E ... read more
I'm going in and listening to this album shirtless, as I am expecting some lean-driven rage music.
Oh boy, where should I even start?
It was definitely a boring chaos. Most of the songs failed to bring anything to the table and even the greatest beats (and let me tell you, some of them are fire) couldn't squeeze any personality out of Ken Carson, with maybe one or two exceptions. The lyrics aren't captivating at all and are not adding to the overall vibe of the project as they seem so filler ... read more
This album is so sad with how sincere it sounds and no matter how cringy these lyrics might be to some, as true and heartfelt as they feel to the band makes it work beautifully and paints a charming, youthfully nostalgic and melancholic picture that I can't get enough of.
I'm so serious about my vegetables. This project features two quirky and very likely autistic guys who love to create music that is gonna blow your mind. This music isn't so meta that it sounds like a shitty joke but it still doesn't take itself seriously enough for you to think that it's trying too hard to stand out. Right in the sweet spot for me. The lyrics also aren't just wierd for the sake of being weird. There seems to be something heartfelt in these that just doesn't want to be said in ... read more
Schafter's most intimate work up to date. Instead of going down a route of his worn-out-by-now stylistics, he choses an alternative route. In Ramotka, we travel into Schafters head very effectively, into a very chaotic, adhd like mind, always consumed by something, with no place to breathe, unless we are inhaling a nitrous baloon.
It's filled with dirty-minded, ketamine-fueled aesthetics, whiney (sometimes too whiney) vocals and very lowkey yet agressive production, in wich most of the ... read more
Album starts really intensly and with a bang, it's full of creativity and expression, just to further become a mishmash of interesting ideas with no clear direction and aim, sometimes becoming an overkill leaving us with tiny little confused smile, because only Kanye could serve us some of these lyrics and awkward production blends.
