fun, catchy and straight to the point. i feel like she's flourishing as a soloist and it's great to see her lean into a more experimental sound that she wouldn't have been able to do under BBC.

overall it's an incredibly strong debut album, they pull off their horror concept well. just wanna xxxx with you is my favourite track and i hope they lean into that frantic sound more into the future, but i don't really have any complaints.

i went into this with low expectations after hearing the teasers, but i'm still disappointed.
they're talented but it's wasted on these awful songs they keep being given. woke up in tokyo is so bad it's funny, so bonus points for that ig. at it's best this album is fine but generic, and at it's worst it's unlistenable.

whiplash and flights not feelings are amazing, but they're brought down by the rest of the album which feels like a lot of filler. i felt like i was getting whiplash from how disjointed the b-sides were, but this seems like a pattern with aespa unfortunately.
