Travis Scott - UTOPIA

UTOPIA, Travis Scott’s first album since the legal issues and controversy surrounding the Astroworld Festival 2021 tragedy. Travis sounds hungry throughout this project, and you can tell that he put a lot of passion and effort into it.

On songs like “MY EYES,” he addresses the Astroworld incident with impressive rapping, and the beat switch is absolutely heavenly. The standout aspects of the album are its production and Travis’s energy and determination.

A great classic from MF DOOM. From the very first listen, it’s clear that this album is an instant classic. Operation: Doomsday showcases MF DOOM’s lyricism, excellent production, and a variety of skits that add to the album’s character and atmosphere. I’m feeling a strong 8.5/10 on this project, though it could climb even higher in my rankings as I revisit it and continue to appreciate it over time.

Throughout the entire project, nothing really stood out to me. There were some okay to good tracks, but not enough to leave a lasting impression. It feels like the same old trap sound he has been using for years. This album just confirms that he hasn’t evolved artistically. That’s why I’m giving this project a 5 out of 10.

Dave - The Boy Who Played the Harp

After deeply analyzing the music, especially the lyrics. I’ve come to the conclusion that this album deserves a 9.1/10. There are many factors behind this high rating. Dave pours his soul into the lyrics. He’s speaking straight from the heart throughout the entire project. If it continues to age well, the rating could even rise to a perfect 10/10.

Rereview: This album has not aged quite well and looking back at the album it wasn't that great. I'm feeling a strong 7 out of ... read more
