Let me explain because you might be a little confused as to why I’m rating this album on the same level as the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” or Kanye West’s “Graduation.” With the passing of Mac Miller the impact and meaning of this album has only increased. Phenomenal.
One of the most important and impactful records of all time. Full of some of Lamar’s best storytelling only bested, in my humble opinion, by its predecessor good kid, m.A.A.d city. Although, where it falls second in one category, it makes up for in every way imaginable. From production to lyricism. Without a doubt in anyone’s mind the greatest Kdot album to date (post release of GNX) and my pick for the greatest project ever across all genres.
