One of my favorite albums ever. The writing on this album is amazing, Nu-Metal at its finest. My least favorite is “Pushing Me Away” and my favorite is “By Myself”
Ok I think this album has good things about and a few good songs. Although it is quite jarring trying mix the sounds of Green and Pinkerton the band fails to let Pinkerton truly shine on this record. Least favorite is “Hold Me” my favorite is “The Other Way”.
For the times this album was a good return to form. What this album has in common with green is how similar the songs sound to each other, however I think the tracks don’t really blur together because of the great sequencing. It returns to the heartfelt energy of Pinkerton but not to the same level but that’s not anything negative. Favorites are “Slob” and “Dope Nose” least favorite is “Possibilities”.
A amazing record from Tyler and Josh which is great continuation and beginning of the end for the Dema world. In my opinion the tracks that I don’t feel much for is “Snap Back” and “At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb” despite my distaste for these two songs the entire record as a whole really works. My favorite track is “Oldies Station” specifically because the bridge is amazing.
This album is a quite disappointing and bland. After awhile the songs start to blend together. Some songs start with interesting ideas but by the time the song is halfway over it sounds the same as the one before it. While the blue album feels like feel good pop rock with a lot of heart this feels just like feel good pop with nothing of substance.
